‘Avengers’ Star Chris Hemsworth Gets a Star On Hollywood Walk of Fame

Avengers: End Game star Chris Hemsworth achieved a major milestone on Wednesday.

Hemsworth has finally gotten a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame after starring in several box office hits, including Star Trek, and, most notably, the respective Thor and Avengers installments.

The 40-year-old actor’s Avengers co-star Robert Downey Jr. spoke fondly of him at the Australian A-lister’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.

“Beyond the cape and the hammer is a contagious Aussie charm. You are a remarkable human being. You are a legend. Chris is a bit daunting to describe,” Downey Jr., 59, said at the ceremony as reported by Variety.

“He’s very elusive because of the pretty packaging. However, upon further inspection…down under…he has a true wit and depth of soul and it has been my sincere pleasure to know you. You keep us Hollywood folk on our toes because you’re just a real deal,” he continued.

At the event, Hemsworth spoke on his own behalf, admitting that the accomplishment was almost felt too good to be true.

“It’s so positive and great and I’m honored. But then there’s that part of you that says, ‘It’s not really happening. You dreamt that. Or they’re tricking you,” he said in reference to getting a star on the walk of fame.

Hemsworth’s wife, Elsa Pataky, 47, and their children, India Rose, 12, and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, 10, joined him at the ceremony yesterday along with his parents, Leonie and Craig Hemsworth. The Hollywood hunk getting a star was like a full-circle moment. In 2019, Hemsworth and a few of his Avengers: End Game put their handprints in cement outside of the TCL Chinese Theatre, which is located on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

At the time, Hemsworth thought putting his handprint there was synonymous with him receiving his star then and there.

“I thought that was the Walk of Fame,” Hemsworth told Variety. “So when we did it, I thought, ‘Oh cool, I’m getting a star.'”
