Lauren Brown is a lifestyle influencer who promotes all the latest in fashion and beauty across social media, along with glimpses into college life as a rising senior at Ohio State University. Her content is beginning to resonate widely, as she has amassed almost 600K likes on TikTok.
Brown has scored several notable brand partnerships, including a recent opportunity to model Dragonwing Swimwear on the runway at Miami Swim Week.
Brown has shared tips for assembling the most on-point wardrobe this season. Her biggest takeaway, she said, was that summer 2026 “embraced a sport chic aesthetic” with a saturation of monochromatic and all-white looks.
As for accessories, scarves and bandanas have surged in popularity.
“Whether they’re worn on your head, around your neck, tied around your waist, or wrapped on your handbag, they’ve become such a versatile styling piece,” Brown said.
For the most multi-purpose use, Brown suggested effortless yet elegant pieces that can be mixed and matched. First, a good pair of linen pants or shorts will keep you comfortable. These lightweight fabrics have become hugely popular among celebrities, where the casual design provides an easy way to stay cool.
For anyone who wants to incorporate these items into their everyday wear but isn’t sure where to start, Brown’s advice is simple: “Choose trends that actually fit your personal style instead of trying to wear everything that’s popular. Incorporating one or two trendy pieces into a wardrobe of timeless basics usually creates the most effortless look.”
Brown suggested investing in a few pricier pieces of clothing, then combining those with more affordable finds. Retailers like Zara, Aritzia, and Abercrombie & Fitch are some of her picks for the best stores to check for trendy styles.
“I also buy a lot of my wardrobe secondhand from local consignment stores or platforms like Depop and Vinted, especially brands like Polo Ralph Lauren, Reformation, Cult Gaia, and other luxury labels,” she said. “It’s a great way to find high-quality pieces at a much better price.”
When asked about her predictions for the upcoming fall season, Brown said she thinks fashion might pivot toward “darker denim, rich jewel tones and earthy colors.”
Additionally, she expects suede to make a comeback along with layered outfits. Finally, Brown said she thinks skinny jeans and tall boots could experience a resurgence with a modern twist.
“Overall, I think fashion is continuing to move away from fast-changing microtrends and toward building a wardrobe that’s more personal, intentional, and timeless,” Brown said.
For shirts, Brown said a white button-down shirt or tank top can make for lasting basics. This staple has remained a constant throughout the years, and it won’t be going anywhere soon. Plus, as Brown said, you can always layer with a striped sweater for cooler evenings. Stripes have made a big comeback this year, with many experts noting how the nostalgic pattern can add personality to any outfit.
Brown also recommended the iconic Golden Goose sneakers, which are designed to look vintage and scuffed. According to the brand’s website, the shoes’ “lived-in look speaks to uniqueness and authenticity”.
Lastly, Brown said a quality raffia bag is a great way to finish off the ensemble. Plenty of celebrities have jumped on this trend by trading in their regular purse for a laid-back, beachy tote.
In her own closet, Brown said she prioritizes neutral tones like “white, cream, navy, and black, along with soft blues and pinks in the summer.” To achieve a polished, preppy look no matter the occasion, she utilizes light fabrics and simple silhouettes. While layering is a prominent strategy in the fashion world, Brown said she prefers accessories such as classic gold jewelry, sunglasses or a baseball cap “to elevate the outfit without making it feel heavy.”
