‘Bridgerton’ Fans Are Obsessed About Season Three’s Soundtrack

Part one of the third season of Bridgerton is coming out in just three days. People are filled with excitement over the upcoming season, which will focus on Penelope Featherington’s (Nicola Coughlan) relationship with a certain Bridgerton brother as it goes from friendship to an actual romance.

But that’s not the only thing that has fans excited. The popular Netflix series is known for putting classical twists on modern hits, allowing viewers to enjoy the music without being removed from the show’s Regency Era. Netflix has just released the song list for each episode of the first half of Season 3 ahead of the Thursday premiere date.

The soundtrack includes some interesting song choices, including Give Me Everything by Pitbull, Happier Than Ever by Billie Eilish, Cheap Thrills by Sia, and Dynamite by the international K-pop sensation BTS. One wonders how the songs will sound in orchestral form. 

Not only that, but this season will feature an original song for the first time, called All I Want, sung by Tori Kelly, which will appear in the second part of the season premiering in June. The cherry on top is that a cover of Nick Jonas’ song, Jealous, by Shimmer, will be featured on the soundtrack for Season 3. Now, isn’t that a fitting song? Jonas’ 2014 hit song is a song about a man being jealous of the attention that his lover is getting from other men and worries that he may lose her to them.

With music in film and television, the choice of song intentionally sets the tone for a scene, so each song on the song list was chosen specifically to convey a certain message. As Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) begins realizing his deeper feelings for the charming wallflower Featherington, he will most likely feel a tinge of jealousy, although he might not understand why at first.

On Monday, Jonas began trending on X, formerly known as Twitter, as fans expressed how they were hyped to have Jealous being included in Bridgerton this season.

“NO BUT IT’S CRAZY THAT JEALOUS BY NICK JONAS IS IN EPISODE 2 ?!?!?!?!! I THOUGHT IT WAS FOR EP.3/4 THAT MAN IS INSANE I CAN’T DEFEND HIM ANYMORE,” one user on the platform shared.

“JEALOUS BY NICK JONAS IN BRIDGERTON? CAN U HEAR ME SCREAMING?” another user added, encompassing the excitement that everyone has over the song list.

“Jealous by Nick Jonas might actually convince me to watch this show,” a third person commented.

Someone else mentioned: “Great taste in music, Bridgerton! The BTS Dynamite orchestral cover is gonna be beautiful, I can’t wait!”
