Following their release in 1912, Oreo cookies have been a fan-favorite dessert for many generations. Cookie fans are always looking to taste the new flavors from the sweet treat brand whenever they drop.
This year, the Oreo company launched a few new remixes of its original cookie sandwich. So you don’t have to; I tasted Oreo’s latest additions, including Churro, Tiramusi, Space Dunk, Dirt Cake, Sour Patch Kids, and Cakesters Peanut Butter flavor, and ranked them.
#6. Sour Patch Kids Oreos
The Oreo looked like the company’s vanilla sandwich cookie, but the only difference was that it had red and blue bits on the white frosting.
The Sour Patch Kid flavor smells like gummy candy and tastes sweet and sour, similar to the candy. The cookie wasn’t my cup of tea, primarily because of the sour-tasting frosting, which leaves behind an unpleasant aftertaste. However, the vanilla cookie part was pretty tasty.
#5. Dirt Cake Oreos
This tasty Oreo has dark and light brown icing between its chocolate cookies. Gummy worm-inspired sprinkles top the Oreo. The cookie was overly sweet to me because of the double chocolate on the inside and had a lingering aftertaste because of the gummy worm sprinkles, which took away from it.
#4. Churro Oreos
An Oreo that tastes like churro is precisely what we foodies need. My favorite thing about the cookie is that it’s sweet and crunchy. I also like the sugar in the churro Oreo flavor. The Oreo sandwich is vanilla, and the icing is light brown, resembling the color of a traditional churro.
It also smells like sugary churro too. Though it’s tasty, the sweetness is a bit overpowering.
#3. Dunk Space Oreos
This Oreo isn’t super sweet like other Oreos, which is why it’s in my top three. Between the ultra-dark chocolate cookie was neon pink and blue icing. When I bit into Dunk Space Oreos, I enjoyed the crunch. Surprisingly, the icing wasn’t nearly as sweet as one might expect. It’s so good.
#2. Tiramisu Thins Oreos
Oreo’s Tiramisu Thins taste like coffee and chocolate combined. The Oreo sandwich is chocolate with dark brown frosting. What I like about this cookie is that it smells like chocolate and coffee cookies.
The best part about this cookie is that it’s thin, has no overwhelming aftertaste, and is not too sweet for comfort.
#1. Cakesters Peanut Butter Flavor
The Oreo Cakester peanut butter flavor holds the top spot. The creamy peanut butter center sandwiches together layers of chewy brownie cake. I liked the brownie-like part the most because of its moistness.
The best part is that I can taste the creamy peanut butter inside the Cakesters Oreos, which have just enough sweetness.
