Cinco de Mayo recognizes the victorious day on May 5, 1862, when the Mexican Army beat France in the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War. As the years have gone one, May 5, known as Cinco de Mayo, has become a major holiday in the United States, bringing people together in America to celebrate Mexican culture and heritage.

Food is a staple in any celebration, and so it makes sense as to why these five legendary fast-food Mexican restaurants are handing out mega deals in honor of the holiday.

Chipotle

Chipotle is kicking of the occasion right by featuring a free delivery fee on all takeout orders made through the Chipotle app or website between May 1 and May 5. All you have to do is use the code CINCO24 in their app or on their website and you can enjoy your yummies!

Taco Bell

Taco Bell is getting in on the Cinco De Mayo action with their latest special for Taco Bell Rewards members. Any Taco Bell Rewards member who purchase through the fast food restaurant’s mobile app is able to get 5 soft tacos for only $5 on May 5. The one-day deal is only available on Cinco de Mayo, and limited to one per customer.

On The Border

On The Border is offering a special that is near and dear to my heart. If you know me in my everyday life, you know that my alcoholic drink of choice– the rare times I choose to indulge–is a margarita with some extra salt on that rim.

One The Border is offering a pocket-friendly specials that are all under ten bucks. Between May 1 and May 5, foodies can enjoy a Cinco Rita, Mexican Draft Beer, and On The Border’s signature queso for just $5.

Along with the $5 deals, On The Border is offering daily cocktail specials from May 1 through May 5. Everyday until Cinco de Mayo there will be one special cocktail priced at $9.99. Cocktails included in this promotion are the Pineapple Rita, 1800 Meltdowns, The Perfect Patron, two new drinks called Blue Duck Oasis Rita and Duck Island Breeze Rita, and the Spicy Ghost Rita.

Moe’s Southwest Grill is getting in on all Cinco de Mayo fun. All day long on May 5 customers will be able to buy a Build-Your-Own-Burrito or Bowl for just $5.55. Only Moe Rewards members can redeem this offer. As delicious as this deal is, it’s only valid at participating Moe’s locations. 

El Pollo Loco

El Pollo Loco is not to be left out of all the Cinco de Mayo conversation. The fast-food chain is giving Loco Rewards members a bunch of delectable BOGO (Buy One Get One Free) discounts between May 1 and May 5. Members who purchase a Carnitas Stuffed Quesadilla on May 3 will get the second one free.

On May 4, members who buy a 2 Carnitas Taco Combo get the second one free. On Cinco de Mayo, members who buy $10 worth of food or more through the El Pollo Loco app will get two free Shredded Chicken Crunchy Tacos and pay a $0 delivery fee.
