President Joe Biden has a concrete plan for America's school system
The American K-12 education system is in crisis, and everyone is looking to the federal government to step in and do something about it. President Joe Biden’s Administration’s Educational Agenda seeks to turn around some of what is wrong in K-12 education.
Some of the agenda items are songs that educational professionals have sung for decades. This new take and agenda will hopefully address challenges that have been allowed to evolve.

Teacher Pay Raises are close to the top of the agenda, and with good reason. Teaching is not a traditional 9-to-5 job, and the degree of work and preparedness required to be effective goes beyond the regular school day. Additionally, the cost of living has steadily increased for the past few decades, with no signs of slowing down.
Many educators are forced to take on a second and third job to make ends meet. There is also the challenge of educators not being paid during the summer vacation. The summer is a time when teachers should be able to relax and recharge for the upcoming school year.
However, instead of that happening, they are faced with the uncertainty of how their bills will be covered during that season. The Biden Administration’s Educational Agenda’s goal of championing hardworking educators by seeking to increase teacher salaries to a more livable level should very much be applauded. What remains to be seen is the degree of support and opposition this item on the agenda will receive.

Furthermore, the agenda also focuses support and attention on expanding pre-kindergarten programs. Foundational literacy and math support are crucial to the long-term educational success of our students. There is news about educators sharing some educational deficits they face when society’s youngest members enter the K-12 classroom.
This educational expansion will ensure our students are better prepared to meet our society’s academic and social needs. In making pre-K more accessible, we are setting the groundwork for the future success of our society.
It’s one thing to talk the talk and something else entirely to back up that talk with practical actions. The Biden Administration is making the funding of our schools a high priority in the current educational agenda.
An increased federal budget means that additional resources and support will better support the K-12 classroom. More than that, the administration is seeking to demonstrate a solid commitment to ensuring equality when it comes to the ability of all students to access the kind of education that will set them up for success—regardless of which zip code they live in.

Absenteeism and accountability, learning loss, and deficient literacy skills are just some of the areas that the Biden administration is focusing on. By introducing these initiatives, which are targeted to address the challenges currently facing education in America, the Biden administration seeks to ensure that no child is left behind.

The bottom line is this: the Biden Administration’s education agenda is not only about politics and new policies; it is about ensuring that students can get the necessary support they need to build a brighter future for us all.
