For several years, allegations of hip hop rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs’ illegal and abusive behavior have consumed news outlets across the world.
However, recent stories of sex trafficking and physical abuse are just a few claims reported by people who have come into contact with Diddy including well-known celebrities and household names. A viral surveillance video surfaced months ago where Diddy can be seen physically assaulting his former girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura in a Beverly Hills hotel.
It reveals Combs violently grabbing, shoving, dragging, and kicking her during an altercation. Weeks afterward, Diddy took to social media to offer an apology for his horrific actions shown in the surveillance video. Critics and social media fans alike expressed that his apology wasn’t sincere but a strategy to avoid future legal ramifications. The rapper hasn’t been charged in the assault on Ventura because the statute of limitations has expired.
After the abuse lawsuit that the 37-year-old singer filed against Diddy in November 2023 was swiftly settled and the hotel surveillance footage of him assaulting her surfaced, many began speculating if he also abused his late girlfriend Kim Porter.
Porter suddenly died at the age of 47 on Nov 18, 2018. The cause of her death was ruled as lobar pneumonia, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. Abuse toward Porter by Diddy is rumored to be in a memoir by the late model, with reportedly plans for a book and follow-up movie.
However, on July 31, 2024, her known best friend Eboni Elektra stormed social media, specifically Instagram, refuting Porter having written anything about years of abuse by Diddy.
“I’m gonna say this as loud as I can,” Elektra wrote. “Kim Porter never drafted nor wrote a book, memoir, or manuscript. Quick lesson: ALLEGEDLY means When something is SAID TO BE TRUE but has not been PROVED” Elektra added.
She continued, “There is no book, she asserted again. There never was. Several people continue to speak about and spread blatant lies regarding this mystery manuscript as if it were true. People…… IT’S NOT. Kim would never do such a thing, and that’s the honest-to-God truth.”
The 54-year-old rapper from Harlem, New York is no stranger to legal allegations. Countless rumors have surrounded him for decades. On March 25, 2024, Federal Agents raided his Los Angeles and Miami multi-million dollar mansions for alleged sex trafficking. Investigations from the raid are still pending.
Questions about why Elektra would voluntarily come forth and deny memoirs by her late best friend are on the minds of many who have followed the saga of Diddy.
