Travis Kelce is Reportedly ‘Secure’ With Being Inspo for Taylor Swift’s TTPD

Pop artist Taylor Swift’s eleventh studio album The Tortured Poets Department has taken the world by storm since it was released last week. In true Swift fashion, the 34-year-old songstress seemingly wrote tracks on record about her love life, which now includes Kansas City Chiefs’ star tight end, Travis Kelce, 34.

Among the several songs on The Tortured Poets Department that delve into all of the heartbreak that the singer-songwriter’s heartbreak, Alchemy and So High are two that were seemingly written with the Super Bowl-winning NFL player in mind.

Kelce reacted positively to Swift using their romantic relationship as song inspo.

“[Travis] heard everything before it was released. He is so proud of [her] and understands and accepts that being with her means being a part of her music. And he’s secure and fine with it,” a source told Us Weekly. Swift often composes songs about men who she’s been with, revered for crafting the best break-up songs after she concludes a relationship. Her love songs are just as iconic as break-up ones, and she has a lot of love for Travis right now.

The whistleblower claimed to the news publication that Taylor “has written other songs, some inspired by Travis, but they weren’t produced or part of the album. There wasn’t time for them to be part of the album. She’s kept some private and hasn’t released them yet. She has a journal and writes all the time.”

Although the award-winning entertainer his a hopeless romantic, it wouldn’t be proper Swift album without some songs about her former boyfriends. Swift’s exes Joe Alwyn, 33, and Matty Healy, 35, appear to be muse for the songs Fortnight, The Tortured Poets Department, Fresh Out the Slammer, The Black Dog, Guilty as Sin, But Daddy I Love Him, loml, and The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived. 

Since Kelce is secure in his and Taylor’s relationship, it doesn’t bother him that she seemingly talked about her exes on The Tortured Poets Department.

“Travis is understanding about the ex-boyfriend songs,” the insider mentioned. “He recognizes that her past experiences are an important part of her expression.”

Taylor and Travis have been dating since September 2023.
