Despite Love Island USA season seven ending in late July, controversy still plagues its stars.
Earlier this week, Love Island USA star Huda Mustafa was hit with a restraining order by her current boyfriend Louis Russell’s ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child, Nicole Olivera, for allegedly threatening both her and their child.
According to TMZ, the incident took place on February 21, 2026, at 1 a.m., when Huda allegedly showed up uninvited at Nicole’s house. Things started to escalate after Huda allegedly started threatening to harm herself and demanded that Louis swear on his son‘s life that he would never leave Huda.
“I never wanted my son in the public eye, especially involved in anything negative,” Nicole said to TMZ.
After TMZ reported on Huda’s meltdown that led to the restraining order, the incident spread like wildfire among Love Island fans, who talked about it and reacted to the news. Certain fans felt vindicated after expressing their discomfort and dislike of Huda in during the time Season seven was on-air, stating that her outbursts and actions on the show were hard to watch.
“Huda has a restraining order against her, but I was crazy when I said I didn’t really like her. I was mean because I didn’t like how she acted. You all enabled her so badly. She’s off the rails now, like everybody’s, like oh, she’s still toxic, she’s just like me, like you guys would hate me if you think this is bad. Yeah, I probably would,” said one Tiktoker.
Another point made throughout the situation was how certain fans would treat Olandria because of Huda’s actions. During the show, Olandria and Huda were at odds a couple of times, and fans pointed out that during the disagreements, Huda’s fans would defend and enable her actions while also allegedly being disrespectful and racist towards Olandria and other Black contestants.
“The way Huda victimizes herself makes me so uncomfortable. She does it to manipulate people. It’s so weird. I first saw it on episode two when she started bawling her eyes out because she knew the viewers were racist, and if she cried because of what a black woman said, they would turn against the Black woman,” said one X, formerly known as Twitter, user.
