‘Devil Wears Prada’ Star Emily Blunt Returns To Sequel With ‘Iconic’ Red Hair

In The Devil Wears Prada, one of the significant things pointed out was Emily Blunt‘s red hair.

Her red hair reflected her confident and sharp character. The type of red she had was a bold and fiery red hue alongside a shade of deep copper. This was not only iconic, but it became a part of her legacy.

With the sequel announced, Blunt will reembrace the red look for the second installment, but with more enhancements. This time, she will rock a golden copper glow, instrumental to the upcoming fall season. The golden hue of red, with the copper undertones, plays a huge factor in the fall aesthetic.

In one social media video, Blunt is seen walking out of a building in a bold red look. Along with her hair, she’s wearing a black striped outfit with white sleeves paired with sunglasses.

This isn’t the first time a celebrity with red hair has caused heads to turn. Earlier this year, Keke Palmer stunned with her appearances, sporting red hair.

Another example is Megan Thee Stallion wearing red at Coachella. Now, with Blunt’s new shade of red, it continues the trend.

“You want that golden reflect on the copper it makes the whole color glow and feel alive,” Patterson stated.

For those who have darker hues, Patterson also recommends lighting the color, just enough to create a warm tone, before applying the reddish brown pigment.

Red tones are one of the few colors that are hard to replicate and fade the fastest after coloring. Rita Hazan, celebrity Colorist & Founder of Rita Hazan Salon, recommends bringing a reference photo to get the right color, along with other recommendations.

“Ask your color for a rich copper auburn that’s vibrant but sophisticated. Thanks, son Hughes, not fire engine,” Hazan said.
