Why Emma Roberts Hasn’t Worked With Her Aunt Julia Roberts Yet

Actress Emma Roberts and her aunt Julia Roberts have yet to work together on-screen, and there’s a reason for that.

In her acting career, she has worked with many actresses and actors. Emma said that the person she hasn’t worked with is her aunt Julia. Aside from both being in the movie Valentine’s Day, they were in the same movie but didn’t share a scene together; they haven’t co-starred in any project together.

Just because the famous relatives haven’t worked together doesn’t mean Emma doesn’t want to.

“I would love to find the perfect project for me and my aunt, and I know that there will be something. But it’s never been the right thing,” Emma said in an interview last week. “She’s the best, and I want to do something with her. We send each other books and talk about stuff but it hasn’t been right.”

Emma revealed that she was a fan of her aunt’s work and often watched Julia’s films, which tends to “comfort” her.

“I watch her movies when I’m on location and I’m by myself,” Emma explained. “I have movies of hers downloaded on my computer that I watch for comfort. ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ and ‘America’s Sweethearts’ are my safe movies.”

At the beginning of her acting career, Emma starred in the Nickelodeon show Unfabulous. The actress also said she didn’t feel right seeing the documentary Ouiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV. 

“I was completely horrified and shocked because that was not my experience. It made me really, really, really sad that that was happening to people that I literally saw often and had no idea,” she said, adding that her mother stayed by her side and was with her ’24/7,'” according to Today.
