Jack Harlow is delving into the business side of things, branching off into investments. The Industry Baby rapper is diversifying his portfolio with the addition of The Plug Drink, a plant-based Asian-inspired beverage company.
Harlow’s investment in Plug Drink is a smart move, being that there are some big-wigs—like NBA baller Myles Turner and Miley Cyrus’ Former Manager Adriana Arce— that have already tapped in. With the addition of Mr. Harlow, The Plug Drink founders Ray and Justin Kim have secured $1.5 million in seed funding, according to a press release.
After developing a relationship with Ray and Kim, and learning more about their business, Harlow became more incentivized to invest.
“The Plug is a true disruptor in the functional recovery beverage space,” Harlow’s manager Chris Thomas said in a press release. “After getting to know the founders, Ray and Justin, we’ve become strong believers in what they’re building, and it’s one of the main reasons why Jack and I decided to invest in this seed round. The Plug is the first to capture both the hydration and the herbal supplement markets. Very impressive to see how quickly they’ve grown in just a year, and can’t wait to see The Plug skyrocket next year!”
The Plug Drink founders are also enthused to work with Harlow, expressing their excitement to have him as an investor.
