After dominating the hip-hop game as one-third of rap supergroup Migos, Quavo is starting some new endeavors solo. Quavo is making strides in Hollywood not only on-screen but also behind the camera, becoming one of the executive producers for the upcoming thriller movie “The Resort.”
Quavo posted the first look trailer of his new movie “The Resort” to his Instagram, making his executive producer debut known in the caption.
“The Resort Thriller ‼️ Be Careful What You U Wish For The Resort Premieres In Select Theaters And On Demand April 30th Watch The Official Trailer Now!!! Exec Produced By Me!@theresortmovieofficial @appletv,” said in his Instagram caption.
Since Quavo is a horror film fan, producing “The Resort” was a great honor for him.
“I am excited to be part of this project as I’ve always been a big fan of horror movies. Being on set with the cast in LA was a huge honor, and after catching a screening of the movie all I can say is we definitely deliver some scares in this film,” Quavo told Deadline.
The movie stars Biance Hasse from “Hot Tub Time Machine 2”, Brock O’Hurn from “Tyler Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween,” Michael Vlamis from “Roswell, New Mexico” and Michelle Randolph from “5 Years Apart.” Sam Mobley, Will Meldman and Taylor Chien also serve as producers alongside Quavo for the Vertical Entertainment distributed horror flick.
While Quavo is making strides behind the scenes, he is also making strides on-screen as an actor.
As noted by NME “Quavo is set to make his film debut in a new movie with Robert De Niro. He will star as a character called Coyote who is described as “a ruthless and heartless drug lord” in “Wash Me In The River,” which also stars John Malkovich and Fargo star Jack Huston, according to Variety. “
