Rihanna is not dealing with a hangover like many were on New Year’s Day since the singer announced on her Instagram that she spent all 365 days of 2024 sober.
The 36-year-old beauty mogul was seen celebrating the incoming New Year by counting down the last few moments with friends. In the clip shared on social media, she says, “Ya’ll, I didn’t drink all year. I didn’t drink all year!” Her friends are seen cheering in the background, one holding a glass of wine and another a bottle of alcohol.
She captioned the post, “New Year, New Me.” Comments are supportive of Rihanna’s self-awareness and accomplishment, as one shared, “I went into 2025 liquor free too.” Another fan, “Chile [sic] let me take a shot 4 u lol.” A third fan appreciates the personal insight into her evening, writing, “I love that she’s celebrating her NYE with her close ones in a dressing gown in her bedroom! And sharing with us!”
Rihanna also shared the holiday with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, and their two young children, RZA, 2, and one-year-old Riot Rose. The couple have been together since 2020, but have yet to tie the knot. Talking about their friendship-turned-romantic, A$AP Rocky says, “I knew from when we were younger. We both did, I think. So it was only right when we got older. We just kind of reconnected.”
Rihanna is the CEO and founder of Fenty Beauty, which tallies in nearly $2.8 billion, making her net worth half of that at $1.4 billion. She began the makeup and skincare line in 2017, and it is known for its high-quality products and a vast array of skin color options in its foundations and concealers. Rihanna began her lucrative career as a singer, releasing hits such as Umbrella, Pon de Replay, and Diamonds, which collectively, with other hits, earned her 9 Grammy Awards, 12 Billboard Awards, and one Academy Award nomination.
She recently spoke about her New Year’s Resolutions and wants to focus on motherhood, time for herself, and the one resolution she wants to prioritize, saying, “Sleep! I feel like I say that every year.” She also continues, stating, “Being the best version of myself helps me be the best mom, so self-care has still gotta be a priority, even if it looks a little different these days. If you feel good, you’ll look even better.”
