Elon Musk, owner of X (formally known as Twitter) and fierce supporter of former President Donald Trump, made a post on X threatening Taylor Swift. In the post, he said, “Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.”
Moreover, Elon Musk’s post was in response to Taylor Swift’s recent Instagram post, which has now gone viral. In a recent Instagram post, singer Taylor Swift made her position clear about the use of AI falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run, which was posted to his site Truth Social. She then said she would be endorsing Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election.
Her post went on to say, “I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.
I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it’s much easier to vote early. I’ll link where to register and find early voting dates and info in my story.”
She then ended her post with, “With love and hope, Taylor Swift Childless Cat Lady,” a jab at comments made by Sen. JD Vance, Trump’s running mate, made about childless people.
According to Forbes, Musk’s post, made at 12:46 a.m. EDT on Sept. 10, has already been viewed more than 39 million times and liked more than 200,000 times as of Wednesday morning. Many were offended by Elon propositioning Taylor, including the tech mogul’s transgender daughter, Viviana Jenna Wilson.
Wilson vented on Meta’s Threads instead of X, most likely because she disowned Elon Musk, her father, and he owns X, about how she felt about the inappropriate remark.
“Also, yes, I saw ‘the tweet.’ Heinous incel nonsense is in fact heinous incel nonsense. I don’t really have anything to add to it, it’s just abhorrent,” she wrote. “That much is obvious and if you don’t see how then you’re part of the problem. I would just like to say to my audience members, don’t let people talk to you like that. It’s disgusting, it’s belittling and incredibly sexist. You deserve better.”
Although it is unclear with what Elon Musk was referring to when he said that he would “guard” Taylor Swift’s cats, it could be a reference to the false claims that Haitian immigrants eat cats and dogs in Springfield, Ohio. These allegations have since gone viral and echoed by Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and his running mate Republican Ohio Senator JD Vance.
Despite the false claims originating from a Facebook post in Springfield, Ohio, the local police have said it has not received any credible claims of Haitian immigrants kidnapping and eating pets.
Additionally, Springfield Police investigations commander Mike Kranz told Forbes there have been “no credible reports or specific claims of pets being harmed, injured or abused by individuals within the immigrant community.”
Senator JD Vance claimed in a post on X on Monday morning that “reports” show “people have had their pets abducted and eaten by people who shouldn’t be in this country,” a reference to the thousands of Haitian migrants who have settled in Springfield, though he did not cite specific reports.
According to Yahoo, Elon Musk has fathered 12 known children and is currently engaged in a custody battle with former girlfriend Grimes over three of them.
Replying to a tweet from an X user, Elon Musk wrote: “Oh my God, this has really become an Elon vs Taylor Swift election now.”
