“Cause you know I love the players, and you love the game,” a line from Taylor Swift’s Blank Space song holds some meaning to it since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are stronger than ever, despite breakup rumors.
According to Newsweek, Full Scope PR, a Los Angeles PR firm that represents Travis Kelce and other celebrities, including Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter and RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Sasha Colby, denied a report that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s plan to announce their breakup at the end of the month.
The firm also denied having a planned PR campaign for Kelce that would include sending “broad coverage” suggestions to media outlets. Additionally, Full Scope PR noted that speculation started when the Daily Mail posted photos of the alleged PR stunt that included the Full Scope PR logo.
The paperwork showed that a breakup announcement was planned for September 28, and labeled, “comprehensive media plan for Travis Kelce’s public relations following breakup with Taylor Swift.”
The paperwork included a template for a statement that read: “Example: Travis and Taylor have decided to part ways after careful consideration. They both value and respect each other’s personal lives and appreciate your respect for privacy during this time.
The statement further said, “They are both committed to their careers and personal growth. They remain friends and wish each other the best.” However, Full Scope PR informed the Daily Mail that the documents were “entirely false and fabricated and were not created, issued or authorized by this agency,” and that it was exploring legal options.
“We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents,” said a Full Scope PR representative, per to Bleacher Report.
The couple met almost a year ago, with the relationship starting in October 2023. Travis Kelce had attended her Eras tour in July of 2023, and he had planned to give Taylor Swift his phone number through a friendship bracelet when she performed at Arrowhead Stadium but didn’t get the opportunity to do so.
However, there was an “invisible string” that helped him get to Taylor Swift.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings, so I was a little butthurt that I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Travis Kelce said on his podcast.
Following his failed attempt to get her his number, he got some help from people close to Swift to get her attention. “There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: Yo! Did you know he was coming? I had somebody playing Cupid,” Kelce told WSJ. Magazine, adding that he eventually found that out from Swift when she contacted him directly.
