Cry for Help or Publicity? Justin Bieber Sheds Tears Online

Justin Bieber, 30, let it all out on social media in a series of snaps he shared in a carousel post on his Instagram account last night. Sandwiched between different images were a few back-to-back up-close pictures of the pop star’s face.

Clear as days were his red, water-filled eyes and the tears that rolled down his cheeks. Bieber had a sad look on his face, seeming to have snapped the depressed-looking photos while he was in the middle of having a breakdown.

Bieber’s wife of five years, model Hailey Bieber, 27, commented that he was a “pretty crier” under his post, adding a smiling, teary-eyed emoji along with her remark. The internet was quick to interpret her message as a mockery of her husband’s emotional state, and that just stirred the pot more. 

As expected, the public’s response was mixed. Deeply concerned, several of his devoted fans questioned on X, fka Twitter, whether he was alright and whether his post was a distress signal of sorts. One particularly worried online investigator wrote, “What’s happening? Is he alright these days?!”

Another added: “You all are making fun of him but have no idea the stuff Justin has gone through/is going through. Time will reveal it all.”

Meanwhile, a third person noted: “Hope he’s all good.”

While some offered their support, others were less sympathetic, claiming that he was seeking attention in an X thread.

“Men used to face battles, now they seek sympathy on the internet,” one person raged. Another user accused, “He’s clearly desperate for sympathy…”

One fan who didn’t buy his spring sadness shadily claimed on X that Bieber only released photos of him being vulnerable online because his new music was “soon to drop” and he needed “promo. Amid the noise of negative opinions, there were those who recognized the rawness of the entertainer’s emotions.

A few speculated that he was crying over his and Hailey’s relationship. Rumors of the Biebers’ marriage troubles have been floating around since late 2023, leading some to believe that his reported relationship issues were the source of his emotional outburst. Irrespective of the speculation and rumors, the Baby Crooner’s emotional display seems to some like he’s actually crying out for help.

“I actually really feel so bad for him, everyone sat and watched him be exploited by Hollywood and then ignored him when he was crying for help, f**k didn’t and any other adult that ruined his childhood,” an X user explained.

Most of his fans just hope that the One Time singer gets the support he needs.
