Zendaya, the leading lady in the latest Marvel Spider-Man film, lets the world into her rumored relationship with her costar and Spider-Man star Tom Holland. After the young Hollywood actors were caught making out in the car back in July, fans have been inquiring about the inside deets of their alleged romance.
Keeping their possible romance on the hush hush, neither Zendaya or Holland have publicly confirmed or denied the relationship rumors, however their offscreen interactions have been fueling the former. In her latest interview with InStyle magazine Editor-in-Chief Laura Brown for the annual Best Dressed Issue and podcast, Zendaya rhapsodized about Holland, and their work relationship.
“There are many things, obviously, that I appreciate,” Zendaya said of Holland during the interview. “In an actor way, I appreciate that he really loves being Spider-Man. It’s a lot of pressure — you take on the role of a superhero wherever you go,” she continued.
The 25-year-old Euphoria star went on to praise the 25-year-old Captain America: Civil War star’s work ethic, expressing how much she appreciated his perfectionist ways.
“Our director allowed me to come in every day [of the shoot], and it was cool to see how he cares so much about his work and making it right,” Zendaya told Brown.”I watched him do a fight scene all day, which is exhausting. He’d do a move, come back to the monitors, watch it, and say, ‘I can do that better.’ I’d be like, ‘Dude, you got it.’ But he wants us to be perfect, and I really appreciate that.”
In addition to complimenting his dedication to being the best Spider-Man he can be, she also gushed over his personal character.
“Very charismatic, can make anybody feel comfortable and have a good laugh and a good chat. A good chat — I sound so British,” she said jokingly to Brown.
Seeing Zendaya’s face light up as she spoke on Holland during her InStyle interview is a prominent giveaway that he might be her man. Additional signs that the two most likely are dating is Holland being caught spending time with Zendaya and her mother this summer—after being caught kissing Zendaya while on the car ride there.
The two have also been caught engaging in flirty exchanges on social media, dating back to 2017—the same year that they debuted as costars in the first Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming. While many of us are speculating about the nature of their relationship, what isn’t speculation is their evident on-screen chemistry in their last two Spider-Man films together. Their chemistry may be even more intense in their upcoming Spider-Man film, Spider- Man: No Way Home, which drops Dec. 17.
