Slick Woods, supermodel and one of the top faces of Fenty Beauty, has made her way back to the runway. The buzzcut beauty came back like the fierce Slick Woods we all love to see, workin’ the catwalk like only she could in Lionne Clothing’s Fall/Winter Fashion show.
Seeing Woods model for Lionne Clothing was a nice surprise being that Woods had stepped away from modeling shortly after her being diagnosed with stage 3 Melanoma in 2019.
“Since being diagnosed with cancer and becoming a mother, Woods’ relationship with her body and the industry has shifted,” according to CNN. “Putting fashion behind her, she wants to use the money she’s earned to build a legacy of helping others.”
But after almost two years Ms. Woods is back with her signature street flavor, inspiring the latest denim design added to Lionne Clothing by Latoia Fitzgerald—SLICK SET. While Ms. Woods walking for Lionne Clothing was a special moment for the brand, Lionne Clothing’s runway debuting at LA’s historic Wilshire Ebell Theatre is what made the event pop.
Also having popular celebs like Lala Anthony, Draya Michele and James Harden at the first time fashion upped the prestigiousness of the event, putting Lionne Clothing on everyone’s radar. Fitzgerald’s clothing brand Lionne Clothing is going all the way up, especially if she remains to have Slick Woods modeling her brand.
Whether or not Slick Woods will continue to headline future fashion shows for Lionne Clothing is unknown, but lets hope so. Ms. Woods is too fierce!
