Lizzo Has Everyone On TikTok Trying ‘Nature’s Cereal’

Lizzo’s approval of Sherwayne Mears nature’s cereal makes the already popular recipe go viral on TikTok. The fruit filled “cereal” is trending all over social media, gaining a thumbs up from many people that try it.

Mears kick-started the nature’s cereal movement when he shared a video of his easy recipe to his TikTok page @natures_food back in February. In his video Mears utilizes blackberries, blueberries and pomegranate seeds as the “cereal” and fresh coconut water as the “milk.” Although Mears recipe calls for blackberries, some people recreating the “cereal”— like Lizzo and Trisha Paytas— have been swapping out the blackberries for strawberries. Alongside Lizzo and Paytas, Jason Derulo has also added his own spin to nature’s cereal.

“This my friends is what breakfast cereal looks like for me,” Mears says. “I call it nature’s cereal.” Throughout Mears TikTok video he lists how eating nature’s cereal has benefitted him, claiming that the cereal has given him increased levels of energy and an improved digestive system.

“Whenever I eat this cereal first thing in the morning it helps with digestion,” Mears said. The number one thing that I notice is the energy level. The energy level is through the roof, I literally felt I could run a marathon.” Although Mears does clarify that these amazing outcomes have just been his specific experience after consuming the nutritious meal, he still encourages and highly recommends others to try for themselves.

For many people, “nature’s cereal” is a fresh plant based alternative to overly sugary and highly processed food options that surrounds many of us. Good for a refreshing snack or breakfast meal, nature’s cereal is an antioxidant rich recipe that is suitable for practically anyone to consume—even those with gluten and dairy allergies.

According to NDTV, “Mia Syn took to Instagram to share the benefits of this unique combination. “Nature’s cereal = antioxidant powerhouse. Antioxidants help combat potential free radical damage and may help slow down the ageing process. This is super refreshing,” she mentions in her post.”
