Travis Scott Arrested at Luxury Paris Hotel During 2024 Olympics

With the 2024 Paris Olympics underway, it comes as no surprise that the celebrity sightings are as strong as ever.

Rapper Travis Scott, 33, was among the many celebs who attended the Paris Games this year. After he was spotted sitting courtside for the men’s basketball semifinal at the athletic competition, he was later seen allegedly arguing with his security. While in Paris for the Olympic games, he was arrested after a fight with a security guard at a luxury hotel in the posh 8th arrondissement.

One source told Page Six that the Goosebumps rapper, 33, yelled at his hotel security guard after they got into an argument about local paparazzi. 

“They were screaming at each other, and the hotel freaked out and called the cops,” the source told the news outlet.

Prosecutors told France 24 that Kylie Jenner’s ex was arrested due to “violence against a security agent.” Arrested on Friday morning, the incident occurred at the lavish hotel Georges V Hotel, according to the news publication. The hotel is managed by Four Season Hotels and Resorts, which charges an average of $2,500 or more per night for the cheapest room.

It is said that the security guard of the Georges V Hotel stepped in and separated Scott from his own guard. In a statement released by the Paris prosecutor’s office to NBC, “The security guard had intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard. The Paris public prosecutor’s office has referred the case to the 1st district of the judicial police.”

A source told Page Six that the rapper was followed by paparazzi while moving around the city during the Olympics. Also, the source says that one paparazzi allegedly was looking in the trunk of Scott’s car, which is when the rapper confronted his own guard and asked why he had let the photographer into the trunk of the car. This ensuing argument escalated. 

A video clip posted to X showed Scott getting into a car and calmly asking the paparazzi why they were following him until 5 a.m. that day. 

In the clip, Scott can be heard saying: “How are you fellas? You followed me for a whole day.” One responds with a French accent, “We’re just happy to see you.”

As Scott gets into his car, he says, “Go to sleep. … Y’all too grown for this. Go get some something. … I love y’all so much.”

He adds, “Go do something other than follow me! Go to the park, go the movies, get some grass, get some sun, go find a girl, get some ice cream! Enjoy yourself, baby! I just made some beautiful music.”

Travis Scott faced another arrest before the aforementioned one.

Scott was arrested in Miami back in June of this year and was charged with trespassing and disorderly intoxication.  He had been on a charter boat when the owner called law enforcement and requested the celebrity leave the boat. The disorderly intoxication charge was later dropped. 

Back in 2021, Scott performed at the Astroworld Festival in Texas, which was the scene of the crowd crush, which resulted in 10 deaths and hundreds of injuries. Though a Texas jury declined to indict Scott, he could still be held responsible in civil litigation. 

About his arrest in Paris, Scott is set to be released Friday afternoon Paris time.
