Simone Biles’ Husband Jonathan Owens Adores Her After Pre-Olympics Win

Olympic gymnast Simone Biles received outstanding praise from her family over the weekend after she took home another title just a month shy of the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics.

Showing her support at the Xfinity U.S. Championships event in Fort Worth, Texas, over the weekend was her mother, Nellie, who was in awe of her daughter’s performance, and her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens. 

Owens seemed to be one of Biles’ biggest cheerleaders on Sunday as she competed in a stunning, sparkly black and silver leotard. The NFL player hyped her up on social media in addition to appearing to root for her at her meet.

He caught backlash a few months ago when he revealed that he had no idea that Biles was highly-decorated Olympic golden medalist gymnast when they started dating in 2020, much to the ire of social media.

“Every event!!!!! Just amazing!!!!,” Owens said on X, fka Twitter. Owens social media praise didn’t stop there. In his recent Instagram Stories he shared footage of the competition, captioning the Story slide, “Went 5 for 5!!!! Swept every event [heart eye emoji].”

Biles’ fans also took to X to praise her for having such an incredible performance at the Xfinity Championships.

“Idk if people realize we’re seeing one of the greatest, most dominant athletes of all time in Simone,” one person shared on the social media platform.

“Gifted and disciplined beyond compare May God continue to bless her and keep her healthy and safe,” a second person added.

Someone else mentioned: “I never get tired of watching this awesome young lady.”

Biles ended the two-day tournament with a total of 119.760, which was almost six points higher than runner-up Skye Blakely. The win also helped to build further momentum for the forthcoming Olympics, where she could capture another gold medal.  

After Sunday, she now has nine national all-around titles, and will most likely be a part of the group of women who will be on this year’s Team USA in the Paris Olympics. Other gymnasts vying for a spot on Team USA include Blakely, Suni Lee, Joran Chiles, Jade Carey, Kayla DiCello, Leanne Wong, Shilese Jones, and Kaliya Lincoln.
