Kardashian Critics Dub Kim’s Reported Split From Odell Beckham Jr. a ‘PR Fail’

Kim Kardashian, 43, and her rumored beau, NFL star Odell Beckham Jr., 31, have come to the end of the road in their reported relationship.

TMZ reported Wednesday that after months of supposedly dating, the Skims founder and professional athlete are ending their romance. Sources close to the Hulu personality and the Baltimore Ravens wide receiver confirmed to the news outlet that the two definitely called it quits.

There’s no bad blood between the two, as they are planning to move on as buddies. Both celebrities realized that they were meant to be platonic partners rather than a couple, making their breakup amicable. While they’re no longer together, the news publication revealed that Kardashian and Beckham Jr. still hold each other in high regard.

Rumors of the couple ending their relationship didn’t surprise many, especially since some didn’t believe they were dating to begin with, despite several entertainment news websites reporting that they were. A plethora of Kardashian critics recently took to a Reddit forum to express their reactions to the news—or, rather, their disinterest, viewing Kardashian and Beckham Jr.’s split as a publicity stunt gone wrong. 

“Does anyone actually care about this PR fail?” a Reddit user wrote, with other users echoing similar sentiments.

“No one cared about it when it first came out, and no one cares about now,” another commented in the Reddit thread.

“Were they actually together,” a third person questioned.

Rumors about their romance started in September 2023, but at the time, sources said they weren’t seriously dating. Shortly before their split this month, Kardashian and Beckham Jr. were spotted leaving the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscar Party together in March, People reported Wednesday. A source told the news publication that the two were pretty affectionate at the star-studded bash.

“There wasn’t a ton of PDA like some of the other couples, but there was a lot of touching, and they were right near each other the entire time,” the insider dished to People.

“They were careful about not being too all over each other, but there was lots of chemistry, and they left together,” the source added.

The former pair never addressed the rumors of their relationship despite being spotted at some of the same events. Ever since the skincare mogul divorced her husband, Kanye West, 46, and before she did, her dating life has been the topic of discussion. Prior to Beckham Jr., Kardashian had a short-term fling with former Saturday Night Live host Pete Davidson, 30, between 2021 and 2022.

Beckham Jr. dated model Lauren Wood, 31, from 2019 until sometime in 2023. They welcomed their 2-year-old child, Zydn Beckham, on Feb. 17, 2022. Kardashian and West share four children: North, 10, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 4.
