Rolling Loud is one of the hypest music festivals around, consisting of hip-hop’s biggest names and budding stars. Over the weekend our favorite rappers took the Rolling Loud stage in Miami, performing their mega hits and putting on the ultimate show.
Dominating this year’s music festival was none other than the fabulous ladies that have been making a major impact in hip hop. Holding their own alongside their male counterparts DaBaby and Lil Baby, the leading hip hop ladies Meg Thee Stallion, Latto and Rico Nasty were the true Rolling Loud MVP’s.
The amount of #BossBabe energy that radiated between all of the women rappers that headlined the Miami music concert was palpable. Latto had the audience’s attention as soon as she stepped on the stage with her back-up dancers in formation. Latto reintroduced herself on the Rolling Loud stage, opening her set with “The Biggest.”
Her powerful performance was energetic, captivating and really showcased why Big Latto dubbing herself the “Queen of da Souf” wasn’t a misnomer. Latto used this performance as a rebrand, letting fans know that she is a sensual grown a** woman and not the same Latto we were introduced to on “Rap Game.”
City Girls and Megan Thee Stallion both slayed the stage, dancing their famous twerkalicious choreography we all love to see. The City Girls performance at Rolling Loud was extra special since City Girls member JT was able to perform alongside fellow group member Yung Miami this year.
Megan Thee Stallion shut it down as soon as she rapped her classic hits “Freak Nasty” and “Simon Says,” causing the audience to go crazy every time she made it clap. Rapper Mouse On Tha Track wouldn’t have made “Knees Like Megan” if her twerk abilities wasn’t such a phenomenon.
Last but certainly not least, Afro-punk rap star Rico Nasty completely raged out at Rolling Loud. Sporting a fire red mullet, Rico Nasty delivered a punked-out hip hop performance that was arguably the best one out of everyone that was a part of Rolling Loud’s 2021 lineup.
