Leonardo DiCaprio is on Instagram, and he is not following his longtime girlfriend, model Vittoria Ceretti.
Even though the couple has been together for over two years, starting seeing each other in the summer of 2023, they have kept their relationship very private from the media.
This is the case for Leonardo, 51, and Vittoria, 27, who weren’t seen together at the 2026 Golden Globes. Ceretti did not accompany the actor to the ceremony in Los Angeles on January 11, keeping their relationship out of the public eye. Leonardo has even gone as far as to not follow Vittoria back on Instagram, despite her following his account on the platform.
DiCaprio was nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture for One Battle After Another at the Golden Globes, continuing his very busy awards season as he was also nominated at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards. While many stars arrived arm in arm, DiCaprio opted for a solo spotlight; Ceretti was nowhere to be seen.
If this feels familiar, that’s because it is. Despite their dating since the summer 2023, the pair have never done the big “pose together on the red carpet” moment. Very on brand.
In a December 2025 interview with Time, DiCaprio explained his entire vibe: privacy over publicity, always. “I’ve been managing this balance my entire adult life– and I’m not an expert,” he explained, demonstrating that his rule of thumb only shows up when there’s something worth showing. Otherwise? Vanish.
That mindset, he explained recently, is a strategy he’s been using since the film Titanic, the big blockbuster moment that made him become A-list famous. The takeaway from this interview? If you want a long career, maybe don’t be everywhere all the time. Getting out of people’s faces is the best way. Very innovative, DiCaprio.
The closest DiCaprio and Ceretti have been a public couple moment was at the One Battle After Another world premiere in Hollywood, where they were spotted passing each other but not posing together.
DiCaprio isn’t done with awards season just yet. He’ll be back in the spotlight on March 1 at the Actors Award (formerly called the SAG Awards), once again reminding everyone that he prefers his relationships private and his trophies public.
