Christmas is just around the corner, with Thanksgiving coming and going, people are now getting ready for the holidays. Christmas trees are now being put up along with Christmas lights and some Christmas cooking.
But nothing really sets the mood more than holiday theme songs. Each year around Christmas, there’s always a popular song on the radio and in Christmas albums, which is often Mariah Carey’s.
Since Christmas is a big holiday, a variety of artists are creating all kinds of holiday albums. However, which one is the most popular, and what are some recommendations to listen to this holiday season?
5. Classical Compilations
At our number five spot isn’t exactly a Christmas album by one artist. Classical albums can feature a multitude of famous Christmas songs made by artists, one example being. The best Christmas albums of all time, featuring classics such as Linus and Lucy, Jingle Bell Rock, and Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree. Other songs that have appeared on the Christmas album feature other artists’ songs that will be mentioned later in the list.
4. Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas Album
It’s not really the holidays until you hear Mariah Carey‘s famous song All I Want for Christmas Is You. Her Christmas song has been a staple in every holiday season since its release, having 2 billion streams alone. But did you know that she had an entire Christmas album that’s just as popular? Number four on our list is the Merry Christmas album, which features songs such as Silent Night and Joy to the World.
3. Michael Buble
Third on our list is Michael Bublé’s Christmas album. This album features a multitude of seasonal songs, including It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas and other classics such as Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Holly Jolly Christmas which is featured on Santa’s top 20 songs globally. Whenever you listen to classics such as these, you bring joy to many.
2. Nat King Cole
Upon first glance, people may not recognize Nat King Cole‘s Christmas album. However, you’ve listened to it before, especially the song Chestnuts Roasting upon an Open Fire. That song, like many others, is a staple in the Christmas season. Other songs featured on his Christmas album include the Christmas song “O Holy Night” as well as his version of “Joy to the World.”
1.The Jackson 5 Christmas Album
Now the most popular Christmas album is none other than the Jackson 5 Christmas album. Even in his youth, Michael Jackson was an influential artist. The Jackson 5’s Christmas album is no different. Some classics included are Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, I Saw Mom Kissing Santa Claus and Santa Claus Is Coming to Town. This A very iconic and popular Christmas project.
