Burger King, a popular fast-food chain in the U.S., is once again partnering with Universal Pictures to release a movie-inspired menu.
This theme is based on the live-action movie How to Train Your Dragon. The menu will feature four dragon-themed menu items, which will hit the restaurants starting May 27.
Burger King isn’t the first food chain to have a future collaboration in the making. Currently, Oreo has recently announced its 2nd partnership with Selena Gomez after having great success with the Post Malone collaboration. McDonald’s, Burger King’s competitor, had a viral collaboration with A Minecraft Movie.
But with Burger King’s collaboration, it’s potentially going viral by creating movie-inspired menus targeted towards children. One example of this, would be the famous Whopper changed to embody Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Another example would be, Po’s Panda Sundae which is also an Oreo Sundae that took place during the Kung Fu Panda 4’s release. It didn’t end there; they soon did another collaboration with The Addams Family menu to celebrate Halloween.
With the live-action How to Train Your Dragon opening night coming soon, Burger King has plans to release a new menu to celebrate that event.
Starting May 27, the first of four menu items will be the Dragon-Flame Grilled Whooper, Fiery Dragon Mozzarella Fries, Soaring Strawberry Lemonade, and Vicking’s Chocolate Sundae, which are available in all Burger Kings across the country.
Much like Spider-Man across the Spider-Verse and The Addams Family, Dragon Flame-Grilled Whooper gets the same colorful assortment, with a bright-colored bun and a quarter-pound patty between them. Just like the regular whopper, it’s still made up of all of its classic ingredients, including pickles, lettuce, onion, tomatoes, and many more.
Mozzarella fries have been a staple of their menu since May 2024. Over time, they added to this item by making Fiery Mozzarella fries, which were well received despite being available only for a limited time. Now, with the movie coming back, the popular fries will officially make a comeback.
Even though their foods are popular, Burger King is very successful when it comes to their drinks. Their Frozen Strawberry & Nerds drink was well received, and the Soaring Strawberry Lemonade made with real fruit juice and lemonade will soon follow.
Of the four items they will launch, one in particular will include The New Chocolate Sundae coupled with black and green cookie crumbles with soft serve ice cream and chocolate syrup dessert.
This movie menu will be available for only a limited time before How To Train Your Dragon opens in theatres on June 13.
