Rapper GloRilla has been in the musical spotlight since 2022.
GloRilla’s career took off when she appeared on the scene performing her hit single, F.N.F. (Let’s Go). Since then, the Memphis rapper has been a star. Glo has collaborated with other artists, such as Meg Thee Stallion, Tyler the Creator, Sexy Redd, and many more. In 2024, she released her new album, Glorious. It featured songs such as TGIF and Whatchu Kno About Me, with Sexy Redd as a feature, and How I Look, a collaboration with Meg Thee Stallion.
Since the album, Glo has been working nonstop on music. Another hit that’s been making rounds recently is ILBB2, where Glo is featured. The rapper Jorjiana created this upbeat, funny, yet relaxed track, which features Detroit hip-hop style and a glitchy instrumental. However, the overall impressions of the track were mixed.
“Was anyone else confused at the first half of the song? I know she was tryna do the off-beat flex, but omg that was f*cking my brain up,” said one commenter.
“But Jorjiana looks so happy to be with Glo in the end and it’s actually so sweet!” said another comment.
One of Glo’s primary motivations for creating music stems from criticism. Glo recently saw a critical tweet about her falling off and stated that she took that as motivation.
“I remember bookmarking this & telling myself, ‘Dey gotchu f*cked up so bad,’” she said. “This post ain’t do sh*t but put a battery in my back. I needed that. Don’t let these people write your story for you; keep going!”
Right after that, she released her album, which quickly shot up to #5 on the Billboard album charts and #2 on the Hip-hop charts.
As of right now, Glorilla is on tour performing her hit songs. The rapper didn’t take long to set her sights on Chicago; just Monday night, she performed in front of a large crowd and brought out Jorjiana to perform their song.
A short clip captured their performance, and the crowd sang along to the lyrics. Glo wore a black outfit with bright orange hair, while Jorjiana wore a pink outfit with bright blonde hair; the two danced as they rapped.
Soon after the song ended, they hugged, and the crowd cheered. Tickets for future Glorilla tour dates are found here.
