Sean 'Diddy' Combs mugshot
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is asking for a gag order for a grand jury witness accused of making false claims against the embattled star.
Courtney Burgess, the witness in question, claims he has some of the alleged sex tapes. Burgess says the tapes were given to him by Combs’ former partner and mother to four of his children, Kim Porter, before her death in 2018 at the age of 47. The tapes allegedly contained images of “two to three” minors as well as 8 well-known celebrities. The images can be allegedly seen throughout 11 different flash drives.
A federal grand jury has subpoenaed Burgess to turn over every bit of evidence to authorities as the investigations continue into the sex tapes and racketeering charges against Combs. This includes “all records, including thumb drives, hard drives, electronic storage devices, or devices containing videos and/or other files depicting Diddy” according to a news publication.
Combs’ lawyers say the government is helping to add fuel to the fire by not addressing Burgess’ claims as an “extortion scam.”
Burgess says there are at least 2 “underage” celebrities in the videos, and that all of the stars seemed to be under the influence of either drugs or alcohol and appeared to be victims rather than perpetrators. According to Page Six, one male celebrity who is allegedly in the video is “horrified” that he’d be exposed as a participant if the videos were released. An insider says, “It feels like a betrayal and a violation, and it’s causing a lot of issues. It brings up some really disturbing and bad memories” for them. The insider continues, “He feels like he was victimized years ago and is now being victimized yet again. If this footage gets out, it will follow him for life. It will be on the internet forever.” Of the adults on the tapes, 2 of them are women, the other 6, men.
Today marks Combs’ 55th birthday and it’s expected that he will appear in court later after enjoying a dinner menu including chicken, black beans and carrots. It is unknown if he will be allowed to celebrate the milestone with family and friends as he remains in a Brooklyn jail.
Recently, three of Combs’ adult children nearly got into an altercation as they attempted to defend their father’s name against singer Ray J. The incident was diffused by singer Chris Brown.
Combs was arrested in mid-September of this year and denied bail three separate times. He maintains his innocence. His trial begins in May 2025.
