Chris Brown Stops Ray J From Fighting With Diddy’s Sons

The dramatic downfall of one of music’s biggest moguls continues after reports of an almost public fight surface.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ three sons were ready to go toe-to-toe with singer Ray J after some disparaging remarks were made about Combs. The incident happened at a Halloween party in Los Angeles over the weekend. According to sources, the issue between the siblings and Ray J has been bubbling for a while. Ray J has made his remarks about Combs, but was willing to talk with them rather than fight. However, TMZ reports that Ray J was going to defend himself after hearing they were looking for him at the party. The siblings allegedly approached Ray J three different times beforehand.

But an unlikely defendant in singer Chris Brown came forward as he tried to smooth things over between the group of men. Watching the near-battle start from his car, Brown hurried to stop the situation from escalating. The men were bumping chests and raising their voices before Brown stepped in, preventing anyone from getting injured.

Reality star Hazel-E says she is grateful that Brown was there at the right time. “I feel like if Chris wasn’t like, the bigger voice of reason in that moment I don’t think anything that any of us were saying would have toned the situation down.” The group, along with Amber Rose and Ray J’s manager David Weintraub were all leaving the party when she saw the potential fight start.

Weintraub, also talking with TMZ says no one is going to try to fight Ray J. He says, “Anyone can come to try to press Ray J, but it’s not gonna happen. That was an unfortunate incident, and you know, it was a great party that got ruined by little kids trying to fight a big boy. And sometimes you just can’t have that happen.” Weintraub called the event the “party of the year.”

Combs’ sons, Christian, Justin and Quincy are far from “boys” rather are adults with their own legal troubles. Justin, 30, is facing a nearly $200K dollar lawsuit for missed car payments. Christian, 26, found himself named in a complaint filed by a woman who accused him of alleged sexual assault.

Combs’ 5 other kids, bring the family total to 7, range from 17 year old twin daughters D’Lila and Jessie, an 18 year old daughter, Chance, and a nearly 2 year old daughter named Love. Chance and her sisters have done their part to give back to the community when they donated beauty products to Alexandria House, which helps women without housing get on their feet again.

Brown, while the voice of reason in this incident, has not always been on the right side of the battle. He very famously got into a physical fight with his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. He served over 5 years of probation. He also has been involved in several fights with Drake and Frank Ocean on different occasions. Brown was allegedly involved in a hit and run and arrested for felony assault in two different headlines both in 2013. Late that same year, Brown entered rehab on his own accord.

Combs is currently in a New York jail on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. His trial begins in May of 2025.
