Halloween is fast approaching and with so much focus on which candy is best, an unlikely participant is getting in on the fun of the holiday. Wendy’s is offering four days of treats for their app users during their “Hallo-WEENdy’s” celebration.
Starting this Monday, October 28, hungry customers can take advantage of the deals. To start the week off right, a “BoooGO” or buy one, get one deal on the Wendy’s Breakfast Sandwich will be available. Sandwiches include the Breakfast Baconator, Maple Bacon and Egg Croissant, Sausage, Cheese English Muffin, and more.
For your dessert or even an afternoon treat, stop by your local Wendy’s to enjoy a free small chocolate Frosty with purchase. The Wendy’s Frosty has been a staple of the chain since its inception in 1969. Originated as an even mix of vanilla and chocolate, their beloved founder Dave Thomas created the blend himself because he thought just chocolate alone was too overpowering of their burgers. Wendy’s has been known for serving fresh ground beef to create their hamburgers and they also offer chili on their menu. The Frosty packs a bunch of flavor in just a medium 16 ounce cup with nearly 400 calories and 8 grams of fat there’s a reason it’s made a name for itself in the business.
Wendy’s announced a new flavor just in time for the fall. Expected in November, fans of the cool treat can try out the Salted Caramel Frosty.
Just a month ago, Wendy’s announced an unlikely collab with SpongeBob SquarePants. The limited-time-only treat will feature the fruit in which SpongeBob resides. The Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty is a celebration of the groundbreaking cartoon’s 25th anniversary.
The day before Halloween, you can grab a free small coffee with any purchase and to round up their festive menu, Wendy’s will give you a free four-piece Saucy Nuggs order with purchase. This is a fairly new item for the fast-food chain and reviews have been good. The nuggs are simply the usual chicken nuggets but with an upgrade by the addition of sauce flavors like Garlic Parm, Classic Buffalo or Honey BBQ amongst others. Make sure you grab some napkins.
No stranger to a great marketing ploy, Wendy’s earned it’s way into pop culture psyche with the often-repeated commercial slogan, “Where’s the beef?” The 1984 ad grabbed the attention of customers everywhere with three elderly ladies inspecting food items, and one of them impatiently asks the question heard round the world. The ad provided much fodder and eventually took on a life of it’s own with bumper stickers, frisbees and even a board game making its way to consumers.
With all of this spooky sounding menu items and clever slogans, it seems Wendy’s missed the opportunity to market the ‘sandWITCH.”
