Emily Ratajkowski & Shaboozey: Lovers or Friends?

Shaboozey once said, “Two steppin’ on the table, she don’t need a dancefloor.”

Well, it looks like supermodel Emily Ratajkowski, 33, skipped the dancefloor to cuddle up and hold hands with rising country star Shaboozey, 29. Page Six recently reported that the couple were standing close to each other and conversing at the Blink Twice afterparty in New York City on Wednesday. They also made sure to stay close to each other while they spoke with other partygoers.

Weeks before, the two were seen walking into Musica nightclub together for Afrobeat artist Rema’s album release party, which Dream Hospitality hosted. The pair were also seen dancing closely all night in the VIP section as they drank Clase Azul tequila. 

“They were definitely vibing and enjoying each other’s company all night; they weren’t trying to be discreet,” a source tells Page Six.

The duo was seen leaving that night’s party together at 1 a.m. A source told Page Six that Emily Ratajkowski and Shaboozey, whose real name is Collins Obinna Chibueze, walked in holding hands, making it clear that they were more than just friends that night. We reached out to Shaboozey for comment but we have yet to hear anything back.

Emily Ratajkowski and Shaboozey were in great company that night, as Zoe Kravitz, along with her Blink Twice star fiancé Channing Tatum, was there. Emily Ratajkowski recently made headlines after a stranger told her to put on a shirt. 

The author and model shared a TikTok video on her Instagram on August 19 in which she is walking around New York City when a male voice can be heard saying, “Girl, put on a shirt.” Throughout the video, Emily Ratajkowski can be seen wearing a low-cut gray tank top and black yoga pants. She accessorized it by pairing it with a black shoulder bag, gold choker necklace, silver hoop earrings by Jordan Road, and brown-framed blue glasses by QUAY x Guizo. She also appears to be wearing little to no makeup. 

“Wait for it: man tells me to put on a shirt,” the model wrote over the video in white text. She then captioned the post saying, “famously not demure, famously not mindful,” a reference to the recent social media trend started by TikTok creator Jools Lebron. However, Emily Ratajkowski’s followers have her back. 

“Imagine saying that to Emily Ratajkowski,” one user wrote.”He wants to be you soooo bad,” said another. A third one said, “We should band together and all by and wear the same top.”Moreover, Emily Ratajkowski’s style has long been objectified by the media, inspiring her to write a book of essays titled, My Body, in which the model reclaims her narrative.

Back in 2017, Piers Morgan heavily critiqued Emily Ratajkowski for posting photos of herself in lingerie, a photoshoot she did with Love magazine.

“This is Emily Ratajkowski ‘promoting feminism’. Somewhere, Emmeline Pankhurst just vomited,” the Piers Morgan wrote on X. Emily Ratajkowski replied saying, “Lol never said my love video was a feminist statement. But now it’s worth saying that telling women what to do with their bodies & sexuality is actually just classic sexism. I can have opinions about feminism & also do sexy photo shoots k thanks.”

A few days later, Morgan called Ratajkowski a “global bimbo” on a live episode of Good Morning Britain. In January 2024, the model shared an Instagram photo carousel of herself wearing a low-cut black. halter dress. “decided i’m never beating the bimbo allegations so why not lean in, you know?” she captioned the post.
