Teyana Taylor is doing one last hoorah before she officially retires from the music industry. After over 13 years of putting her all in as a music performer, Teyana Taylor is closing out her music career with one last tour.
On Wednesday (September 22) Teyana Taylor announced that she will be performing some of her best songs one last time in her upcoming The Last Rose Petal Farewell Tour.
“THE LAST ROSE PETAL…FAREWELL TOUR IS HERE. COME OUT AND WATCH ME, LEAVE IT ALL OUT ON STAGE, ONE LAST TIME JUST FOR YOU,” Taylor tweeted.
Taylor gave insight into the tour’s music set list, replying to a fan inquiring about which songs will be performed on her tour.
“Yes KTSE [Keep The Same Energy]& THE ALBUM might sprinkle in a few from VII too ,” Taylor tweeted.
The tour announcement was a welcomed surprise since in December of 2020 Taylor publicly announced her retirement from music after not receiving a “real push” from the industry.
“Wow, who did that? Y’all did that!” Thank you,” Taylor’s post began. “I ain’t [gonna] front, in times of feeling super under-appreciated as [an] artist, receiving little to no real push from the ‘machine,’ constantly getting the shorter end of the stick, being overlooked, I mean the list on and on lol …“I’m retiring this chapter of my story with the comfort that I can depart with peace of mind seeing that all the hard work & passion put in was indeed loved & supported somewhere in the world!,” she added. “To all my supporters from day 1 & all my new ones I love you and I thank you for everything & don’t worry … All hustlers have the understanding that when one door closes another will open … either that or I’m pickin da locks petunia!!!”
While we won’t be getting any new music from Taylor, having to make due with her current phenomenal discography, we’ll at least get one more tour!
