Billie Eilish and Nike Team Up to Drop New Vegan Sneaker

Billie Eilish is a seven time Grammy winner, dancer, pop superstar and now a sneaker designer. The 19-year-old songstress is stepping into the world of fashion, broadening her brand to now encompass a line of vegan shoes. We repeat, vegan shoes. 

In collaboration with Nike, Eilish will be releasing an Air Jordan shoe in her image—the Air Jordan 1 KO. The upcoming Billie Eilish sneaker is a lime green high-top Nike shoe that includes an emblem of Eilish on the tongue tag of the sneaker. 

Eilish’s forthcoming single hue color design was chosen because of the “Bad Guy” singer’s fondness for the neon green shade. 

“This color is such a classic, stupid, little ‘old me’ thing, I guess. I really wanted to kind of have almost like an ode to myself … this was me, for a while,” as noted by Page Six.

Monochromatic and bold, Eilish’s Air Jordan 1 KO is made in a way that PETA would most likely approve of. Since Eilish is an ally to our animal friends everywhere, her new Nike Air Jordan is made 100% animal free with over 20% of recycled material.

“I am SO excited to finally share my two air jordan silhouettes with you!! i’ve always loved @jumpman23 🥰 and it was such an incredible and surreal experience getting to create these, especially in a sustainable fashion (100% vegan with over 20% recycled material),” Eilish said in the caption of an Instagram post of her wearing the super-green sneaker. 

This isn’t the first time Eilish has put animals ahead of fashion. According to Page Six, Eilish “agreed to wear an Oscar de la Renta ballgown to the 2021 Met Gala on the condition that the label stop using fur in its designs.”
