Love Island USA Season 6 star JaNa Craig has big plans for her life as she approaches 30.
During her recent interview with People at Lollapoolooza over the weekend, she opened up about what her 30th year meant for her, teasing that she was entering a “new chapter” of her life.
“I turn 30 at the end of this year. It’s a whole new chapter. I’m so excited,” Craig told the news outlet. “I learned so much in my 20s, so I’m so grateful and extremely excited for what the 30s will bring me.”
She added, “I try not to let fear ever get control of me. I like to embrace the unknown. So knowing that I have no idea what’s gonna happen next is what’s the most exciting part of it all.”
Craig is planning to even delve into scripted acting as her saying “yes to everything” has led to an “exciting” script film project, hinting, “I’ve never done scripted. I’m always little miss unscripted [so I can] say what I want. So it’s really fun to channel into a new character.”
JaNa isn’t letting her brutal break-up with Kenny Rodriguez define her. Rodriguez, a former star on Season 6 of the hit reality television show Love Island USA, has spoken out in a tell-all interview on The Journey Podcast. Rodriguez addressed accusations of racism from his ex-girlfriend and fellow Love Island USA co-star JaNa .
In July of 2025, Craig announced on social media that she had ended her relationship with Rodriguez. Several other members of the cast also chimed in on social media, including Leah Kateb, who called Rodriguez “racist” and “clout/money hungry.” According to Teen Vogue, Craig’s friend Charmane Smith alluded on social media that Rodriguez had made racist comments about Craig and said that he was faking their relationship.
DeuxMoi, an anonymous celebrity gossip account on Instagram, collected screenshots of the dramatic back-and-forth. Additionally, DeuxMoi received a tip from an anonymous source who confirmed that Craig broke up with Rodriguez after she found text messages where he called her racist names and said he only dated her for fame.
Now a year later, Rodriguez addressed their breakup during his appearance on The Journey Podcast last month, where he confirmed that Craig found the texts on his phone. Still, he did not share the exact wording of the messages, only that “I generalized and I made a statement that I’m not proud of.” Pushing back further on the label of racist, Rodriguez said he has dated Black women in the past and has Black family members.
Rodriguez said the texts were sent to his friend, and he was “venting” about issues in their relationship such as “verbal abuse” from Craig. He also said Craig got physical after she discovered the texts. Craig denies any allegation of abuse or assault.
Rodriguez mentioned that Kordell Beckham, one of the winners of Season 6, reached out to him following the breakup. However, Beckham quickly made a statement on his Instagram story, saying that Rodriguez lied on the podcast and that he supports Craig instead.
Following the immediate aftermath of the leak, Rodriguez said he received hate messages online and was harassed by fans. Fan reactions are widely negative, with many expressing doubt towards his side of the story. Some comments question why the text messages have not been released, while others claim that Rodriguez’s emotions during the interview were fake tears.
“All my b–hes hate Kenny Rodriguez,” one wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. Another added, “This is Kenny Rodriguez’s fault.”
One fan account on X argues that Rodrguez has recently behaved poorly towards other women on a Telemundo reality television show, which is evidence that he is more likely to be an aggressor. Another fan account pointed out that Rodriguez had allegedly threatened Craig with a cease-and-desist letter.
While this situation has quickly become messy, it is unclear exactly what legal action has been taken, or where that could lead.
