Last month, Megan Thee Stallion confirmed her breakup with NBA player Klay Thompson after nearly a year of dating, accusing him of cheating in an Instagram post.
“Trust, fidelity, and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward,” the rapper said in a statement shared on Instagram.
Following the breakup between Megan Thee Stallion and Thompson, photos from Thompson’s alleged “cheating diary,” which was exposed by Thompson’s ex-girlfriend in 2019, have resurfaced.
The diary describes a lavish, fast-moving lifestyle reflective of fame and relationships on and off the court. Thompson writes about his off-court lifestyle involving relationships and partying, questioning himself whether he has become promiscuous or self-centered, but later describes his experiences as hard to resist.
“The most savage of sectors of my lifestyle. Promiscuous, womanizing, misogynistic, self-centered, insecure addict? Is this what I am right now?” Thompson supposedly wrote in one of his entries, “Maybe because the experiences are so euphoric and exhilarating? Women at my fingertips in so many cities nationwide.”
Many users commented on Reddit that his “cheating diary” is disgusting, repulsive, and immature of Thompson regarding his sex life.
One netizen commented on Reddit, “That’s really gross. You can tell he’s got the mentality of an 8th grader.” Others replied, commenting on Thompson’s handwriting matching his mentality. Some were even surprised that Megan Thee Stallion would date him due to his history.
While Thompson’s entries suggest an exciting dating lifestyle, the basketball player wrote about self-improvement, wanting to put his energy towards bettering his business, other interests, and exercising his mind. However, Thompson’s entries dated back to 2018 fall contradictory to a better life of self-improvement, as the basketball athlete is alleged to have a history of committing infidelity.
In 2014, Thompson was dating influencer Hannah Stocking, who was gaining popularity, only to be accused of cheating on her later. Stocking went to Twitter, now X, and tweeted she had found Thompson in bed with a groupie.
In 2018, Thompson later dated Laura Harrier, known for her role in “Spiderman: Homecoming,” who was also rumored to have cheated on her. Rumors surfaced that Thompson allegedly cheated on Harrier when a woman posted a video on TikTok playing a game of put a finger down, claiming she and her friends had spent time with him.
Thompson’s resurfacing of his “cheating diary” and alleged history of infidelity not only raises questions about Thompson’s patterns, accountability, and personal reflection but also about men in general.
Thompson’s cheating behavior is common among other men, as others also commented on Reddit, they found out their boyfriends or husbands were cheating on them through a notebook, too.
One wrote “I found out my ex boyfriend was cheating on me this way, too,” with another user, somechild, replying to their comment.
“It’s also how my mom confirmed my dad was cheating on her, he had all the women’s info and ratings. These men are truly disgusting,” commented somechild.
In the end, Megan Thee Stallion’s decision to end things with Thompson reflects a clear boundary she has with herself, one that prioritizes trust and respect.
