As of 2025, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of candy combinations and brands on store shelves. Some new products that are introduced are collaborations between two well-known brands. Also, at the end of this year, forgotten fan favorites returned to stores.
Specific examples include Little Debbie bringing back their chocolate Christmas cakes after two years, and Coca-Cola launching Mr. Pibb after 25 years. Some brands are planning to bring back some of their special candies.
Snickers has returned its extreme bar to the shelves. Another announcement they made was that the M&M’s fan vote returns in spring 2026. The fan votes consist of peanut butter, cinnamon roll, cherry chocolate, cupcake, and lemon meringue pie. However, that’s not all. Mars Inc.,the company that owns Snickers, Skittles, Twix, Milky Way, and others, is now re-releasing a Milky Way flavor that’s highly anticipated by fans.
Milky Way will bring back all its caramel candy bar after two years of discontinuation.
Milky Way is a popular brand that people refer to as classic. It consists of caramel covered in milk, chocolate, and nougat. Over the years, Milky Way has had its own fair share of spins, such as Milky Way Cookie Dough and Milky Way Midnight.
Over the past few years, Milky Way has never sold any candy bars with nougat. Things changed when the simple caramel Milky Way was brought to shelves, which consists of chocolate filled with salty caramel.
Back in 2023 the Mars quietly discontinued, the simple caramel candy line, leaving fans very disappointed.
“I was looking forward to this candy bar every Halloween and now you can’t get it at all please please bring it back,” said one Reddit user at the time.
“Please bring bag Milky Way simply caramel I’ve always loved caramel and it’s by far the best,” said another Reddit user.
“I know it’s just a candy bar, but I gotta say my day is worse after finding out their discontinuation was confirmed. I’ve been craving them for a year now. Oh well. Maybe they’ll bring them back someday,” said a disappointed Reddit user.
Now, after two years of silence, Mars is rereleasing the caramel-filled Milky Way candy bar. Even though it’s called all caramel Milky Way, it’s now under a new name, from simply caramel candy.
This caramel candy will return to shelves in January, sold in various sizes.
