Former Fox Sports anchor Skip Bayless is facing a lawsuit from a woman who claims he tried to pressure her into having sex.
The lawsuit was filed on Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court and states that Bayless offered the woman, identified as former Fox Sports hairstylist Noushin Faraji, $1.5 million if she were to have sex with him. She says the harassment included unwanted touching, lingering hugs, and kisses on her cheek.
Beginning in 2017 and continuing for seven years, the lawsuit states that Bayless made the advances toward Faraji, and she resisted.
“Miss Faraji knew that he was trying to pressure her into having sex with him, but she kept repeating that she was a professional that had to be kind to all talent,” the lawsuit read.
Faraji worked as a hairstylist with Fox for 12 years before she was fired last year for “fabricated” reasons. She says Bayless offered her the sum of money in 2021 and threatened her job security after she refused his advances. She says the alleged advances occurred during their weekly haircut appointments and that Bayless told her that he fantasized about her and wondered “how much money it would take for her to have sex with him.”
Bayless worked at Fox for eight years on the sports Undisputed alongside one of his costars, Shannon Sharpe. The suit also claims that Bayless accused Faraji of having sexual relations with Sharpe. Bayless allegedly told executives that he wanted Faraji fired because “she knew too much and was talking.” Bayless left Fox in August of 2024.
Faraji’s lawyer, speaking on her behalf, says, “Ms. Faraji has suffered and continues to suffer, losses in earnings, losses in other employment benefits, losses in other financial aspects. Furthermore, she has suffered and continues to suffer, emotional distress, shame embarrassment and fear all to her damage, in an amount to be proven at the time of trial.”
The lawsuit also states that Fox did not pay their employees for overtime work nor their expected salaries in full. Attempts to contact Fox Sports and Bayless have not been successful. Fox released a statement saying, “We take these allegations seriously and have no further comment at this time given this pending litigation.”
Fox executive Charlie Dixon is also named in the lawsuit with claims that he allegedly grabbed Faraji’s buttocks and rubbed her body during a party for Fox Anchor Joy Taylor in 2021. Faraji says she told Taylor about the incident and she was told by Taylor to “get over it.” An anonymous employee told Faraji that she wouldn’t be working at Fox after her refusal to have sex with Dixon. That person states that “Dixon was doing this to other women talent,” per court documents.
In 2017, Fox Sports fired its head of programming, Jamie Horowitz, amid a sexual harassment investigation. Fox hired a law firm to interview women employees regarding their treatment at the company.
