A viral social media phrase is separating those who use it from Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. And rapper Meek Mill is the latest celebrity to attempt to distance himself from the fallen mogul.
Meek Mill used the phrase “No Diddy” as he was walking with a fan who videoed the moment. He says, “No Diddy gang. Meek Milly in real life. Don’t ever disrespect me, ya heard?” The phrase insinuates that the person is not connected in any way to the alleged behavior of which Combs is accused.
Once on friendly terms both personally and professionally, there’s a lawsuit that speculates that Meek Mill was involved in a sexual relationship with Combs. The lawsuit, filed by Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones says that Combs admitted to having a relationship with a “Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj.” Meek Mill denies any romantic connection to Combs.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Meek Mill denies the connection to Combs, saying, “I’m from Philly I don’t do coke or a freaky a** molly. Nobody won’t even offer me coke because I’m that heavy…No man or watt would ever approach me about gay activity and whole place don’t get flipped…woke up seeing this on every blog like they know I”m coming! Lol.”
Combs’ son, 30 year old Justin, responded simply to Meek Mill’s use of the phrase with a face-plant emoji and the acronym “smh.” This is not the first time Combs’ sons have made a public remark defending their father. At a recent Halloween party in LA, Justin and his 2 brothers nearly came to blows with rapper Ray J over remarks he made. Rapper Chris Brown helped to calm the heated exchange before it started.
Combs is currently in a New York jail after being arrested on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. He has been denied parole on 3 separate occasions and awaits trial in May of 2025.
