A new year means new things, and new music. While there are some artists that music fans are heavily hoping to get new music from in 2021, there are some music artists that people feel should be left in 2020.

On Twitter, Twitter users debate and agree on whether rappers French Montana, Trippie Redd, Lil Xan and Tekashi69 should be left in 2020. While most hip-hop lovers are prepared to do without music from 75% of the artists mentioned, there is one who much of Gen Z and millennial Twitter feels shouldn’t be included in the leave behind lineup.
“You guys are sleeping on Trippie, we are bringing him into 2021,” Twitter user @RRRINNY1 tweeted. Similar to that perspective, there were many other rap fans who felt Trippie Red’s talent was understated and overlooked.
“Trippie Redd definitely shouldn’t be on here. He’s talented af even if his music isn’t your taste,” Twitter user @vichalifa tweeted.

Whether you like Trippie Redd or not, Redd is still making new music and has recently collaborated with fellow rapper Dax. The new song “i don’t want another sorry” is an emotional hip-hop record that delves into the pain of not being able to love another as much as someone you see as “the one. “
“The somber cut also sees an accompanying visual courtesy of Logan Meis, which begins with Dax signing off on a surgical removal of his heart as his presumed significant other waits. We then see said surgery in “graphic” detail, mixed with shots of Dax leaving his girl and performing the cut with an indoor-smoking Trippie Redd in the hospital hallway,” according to Revolt TV.
These raw and edgy visuals in tandem with sad boy lyrics is what makes Trippie Redd one of the most prominent rappers of the late 2010’s. Even with those hating on his music style, Trippie Redd continues to march to the beat of his own drum.
