Ria Jalesa, a streamer, recently went live on Twitch where she accused Daniel J. Julez Smith Jr., the nephew of pop superstar Beyonce, of assaulting her in a hotel room.
The livestream from July 12 has since racked up almost 15,000 views as of July 14. Smith is most well known as the son of singer-songwriter Solange Knowles. He is also a professional model and design student, according to a recent interview. Less is known about Ria Jalesa, outside of her status as a content creator and lifestyle influencer.
Around the three-minute mark of the video, Jalesa said that Smith broke her cellphone and pointed an assault rifle at her face. Just before the five-minute mark, she said that Smith poured a bottle of Tito’s vodka on her head and pushed her on the floor.
According to reporting on the incident, Jalesa said that Smith yelled at her and punched her. This incident allegedly occurred after the two had a casual sexual encounter in a hotel room. Jalesa said that Smith had a sudden change in mood, and she does not know what caused it.
Jalesa went on to say that she has photos of her bruises and scratches. A screenshot of Jalesa’s previous Instagram story appears to show Smith asking Jalesa over text if she is trying to get him “arrested. Additional screenshots shared on Instagram appear to show a photo of Smith lying in a bed, as well as more text messages.
Jalesa said she tried to resolve the matter privately, but Smith refused to pay to repair her broken phone. It is unclear if Jalesa plans to take legal action against Smith. Neither Beyoncé nor Solange Knowles has commented on the rumors.
This is not the first time Smith has been involved in a tumultuous relationship. He began dating former Disney Channel star Skai Jackson when he was just 16 years old. In 2024, she was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery after she pushed Smith during a public fight at a Universal theme park.
Yesterday, Jalesa hosted another live Twitch stream titled, “THE AFTERMATH… GRWM| RIA J.” She has said that she feels embarrassed airing out private matters on the internet, but she wants to raise awareness about domestic violence.
As of today, it appears that Jalesa has deleted all of her clips and videos on Twitch. She did mention her accusations in a TikTok video posted just hours ago, where she pushed back on people who have expressed disbelief towards her story.
Several users have begun commenting on Smith’s social media posts about the scandal. However, Smith has yet to issue a formal statement. At the time of this article, Jalesa’s claims are yet unverified, and only time will tell if this matter will be brought to court.
