As the year 2025 comes to a close. Broadway has been nothing but spectacular. This year has featured iconic shows such as Chicago, Wicked, The Lion King, and Stranger Things.
Broadway has also dealt with headlines over play bills and other controversies. With weeks to go until 2026, a ton of shows are listed and are generating a lot of anticipation. Here are Broadway shows to look forward to in the following year.
Every Brilliant Thing
Starting our listing, we have every brilliant thing. Starring Tony winner Daniel Radcliffe, the play features a man looking back on his eventful life. The play will begin previews around February 21, with the premiere starting around March 12 and running for two months until May 24.
Dog Day Afternoon
John Bernthal and Ebon Moss Bacharach Star in director Adly Guirgis’ new, gritty play. It follows a period in the summer of 1972 in New York City, during the Vietnam War. This play follows what it’s like to deal with desperation and passion. Opening night will be March 30 and will close July 12.
Giant
John Lithgow reprises his Oliver award-winning performance by playing the children’s author Roald Dahl, who is under threat and has a chance to make amends amid a scandal. Opening night will be March 23 and close June 28.
Becky Shaw
Becky Shaw features a date that goes off the rails. This dark comedy Broadway film, directed by Gina Gionfriddo, has people referring to it as ferociously funny.
“ferociously, funny, a tangled tale of love, sex and ethics.” one viewer wrote.
This showing will premiere April 8th.
Dreamgirls
It is a Tony Award-winning and very popular film. Dreamgirls will return to Broadway in late 2026, this time with a twist. This addition of dream girls will feature a new director, such as Camille brown, and new choreography.
Dolly: A True Original Musical
Based on the legendary Dolly Parton, this musical follows her journey from her beginnings in the Smoky Mountains of eastern Tennessee all the way to Hollywood. This show will feature all of Parton’s greatest hits.
The Lost Boys, A New Musical
Sinners isn’t the only vampire-themed media that’s popular right now. This Broadway show called The Lost Boys features vampires, which is based off of the supernatural horror-comedy The Rescues.
