Donald Trump has made it no secret that he is courting the African American Vote to help him get back into the White House, holding a rally in Crotona Park in the South Bronx. The rally drew large numbers of MAGA supporters, but there were many Black and Latino voters who also attended.
The former President also held a rally in Detroit at an all-Black church. That event also drew many Donald Trump supporters. However, at that rally, there were very little Black voters who attended. The former President prompted the Black community to vote for him by asking, “What do you have to lose.”
The Republican National Convention is scheduled to kick off in Milwaukee on Monday, July 18. The Trump campaign has enlisted some celebrities specifically hoping to appeal to the African American Community. One of those speakers will be media personality, model, and rapper Amber Rose.
Yesterday, Amber Rose posted, on X formerly, Twitter, “It’s True! I’m speaking at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.” Rose publicly vowed her support for former President Trump back in May, when she posted a photograph of her and the former President along with wife, Melania. The three attending a black-tie event, with the caption that read “Trump 2024 USUSUS.” The media personality said that she supports Donald Trump because she does not want biological men in women sports.
Amber Rose has teamed up with rapper Forgiato Blow, who dropped the “Trump Trump Baby” record, in which he rapped over Ice Ice Baby by rapper Vanilla Ice. The video stars Rose. Amber Rose spoke to TMZ in which she proclaimed, “Still voting for Donald Trump,” she said. “I think it helps him more. I think people see the injustice in what happened and they want to vote for him more than ever.
The model who in the past said that she was not a supporter of Donald Trump has changed her support from President Biden, stating, “We just did our research and we’re not brainwashed anymore by the left — I can say that about myself. All these years, I’ve been brainwashed and I’m not anymore.”
Amber Rose is the creator of the SlutWalk Movement. Previously posting on her Instagram: “It’s My A** and My Instagram”
The SlutWalk movement, Amber Rose said she founded in 2011. This came after a police officer said to women – stop dressing like sluts if you do not want to be sexually assaulted.
The Women & Gender Resource Center describes SlutWalk as a rally, march, protest, and movement aimed to make visible the prevalence of victim-blaming, rape-culture, street harassment, and sexual violence. Violence and sexual violence affects all genders, LGBTQ+ communities, sex workers, folks with disabilities, and people of color.
Amber Rose told Harper’s BAZAAR, “A lot of things pertaining to SlutWalk happened to her. Stating, “I didn’t know how to articulate what was going on and why I was feeling this way. It was because I was sexually assaulted, I had been raped, and I was slut-shamed. I was victim-blamed, as well.”
Amber Rose has since said that she believes that she can be effective doing things other than SlutWalk “I’ve donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to helping women get counseling for domestic violence, sexual assault and rape, and I’m still that person. I just don’t think I need to SlutWalk for that.”
