Krispy Kreme never disappoints when it comes to creating delectable doughnuts with unique flavors. No matter if it’s their simple original glazed or their deliciously sweet cake batter doughnut, Krispy Kreme reigns supreme when it comes to curating novelty doughnuts.
Alongside their variations of sweet round treats, what makes Krispy Kreme so favorable is their seasonal offerings. This season the chain partners with the Oreo cookie brand, launching their first ever Oreo glazed doughnut! Krispy Kreme’s new Oreo Cookie Glazed Doughnut and Oreo Cookie Over-The-Top Doughnut is the remedy to any sweet craving, consisting of actual Oreo cookie pieces and Oreo infused glaze icing.
Krispy Kreme and Oreo fans are so here for the collaboration, taking to Twitter to share their excitement.
“Krispy Kreme having two new oreo starting today til the 18th!!! and im fasho coppin,” one Twitter user tweeted.
Each new Krispy Kreme Oreo flavor is catered to Oreo slash doughnut fans everywhere, both doughnuts having different ratios of Oreo goodness. Channeling the Oreo double stuffed cookie, the Oreo Cookie Glazed Doughnut is covered in Oreo glaze, filled with Cookies and Kreme icing, and topped off with icing drizzle and cookie pieces.
The Oreo Cookie Over-The-Top Doughnut is a step up from the Oreo Cookie Glazed, consisting of chocolate drizzle and an entire Oreo cookie wafer atop the doughnut. Both decadent doughnuts are glazed the same and are stuffed with Cookies and Kreme filling.
As tasty as these new flavors may be, they will only be offered for a limited time. Although the Oreo doughnuts are seasonal, they still will be a historic creation for the franchise. According to Yahoo News, “It’s a pretty rare occasion that the Krispy Kreme glaze waterfall uses something other than Krispy Kreme’s original glaze, so this is a huge deal.”
While they may be only here for a short period, at least they’re here and waiting for you at your local Krispy Kreme!
