Jeni’s Ice Cream enters the ton with Bridgerton-Inspired flavors.
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream has recently collaborated with Netflix and Shondaland to produce not one, but two new Bridgerton-themed flavors fans will eat up, dropping in January and February, that will mirror the show’s upcoming Season 4 release schedule.
Representatives from Netflix and Shondaland, a TV production company founded by Bridgerton show creator Shonda Rhimes, visited Jeni’s headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, to explore what a collaboration could look and taste like. After a day of taste-testing, they decided on two flavors crafted to match the Bridgerton viewing experience itself for Bridgerton fans.
The flavors are Queen Charlotte Sponge Cake, a decadent almond buttercream with raspberry-rose jam, honey sponge cake, and lavender-hued at Queen Charlotte’s behest, and Earl Grey Crème Brûlée, a sophisticated decadence with a tea blend base mixed into a salted custard with bergamot and burnt sugar candies, both delectable creations made to be enjoyed by the ton.
The Queen Charlotte Sponge Cake pays tribute to the show’s regal, fashion‑forward matriarch with bright berries, soft sponge, and custard notes that come together in a confection worthy of her Majesty herself, while the Earl Grey Crème Brûlée turns an afternoon tea ritual into something truly memorable.
First to the shelves on January 15 will be the Queen Charlotte Sponge Cake, followed by the Earl Grey Crème Brûlée flavor on February 12.
Jeni’s rolls out a maximum of four flavor collaborations a year, turning down about 99% of partnership inquiries.
“As a tastemaking brand, our credibility is always on the line, so we’re very intentional and strategic when it comes to collaborations,” said Ryan Morgan, Jeni’s head of brand, with the Marketing Brew. “That thoughtfulness has served us incredibly well when it comes to attracting the right partners.”
Loved by many, Bridgerton has become more than a period drama and is a pop culture icon that audiences genuinely connect with.
As a brand that thoughtfully considers its partnership opportunities, Bridgerton has positioned itself as a desirable collaborator thanks to the emotional resonance it holds with fans.
With double the flavors and a double episode drop, Jeni’s and Netflix have scheduled an opportunity to “have something for fans to enjoy throughout the run of the series and during the span of the cultural conversation,” said Morgan.
Designed to be shared with friends and loved ones, this season, grab a few pints of Queen Charlotte Sponge Cake and Earl Grey Crème Brûlée to celebrate the start of the social season of Season 4.
Part 1 of the show’s fourth season will premiere on Netflix on January 29, and Part 2 will premiere on February 26.
