Former Vice President Kamala Harris has signed with the Creative Artists Agency (CAA), one of Hollywood’s top talent agencies.
This agency deals with open speaking and publishing opportunities for the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee, according to a Instagram announcement post by CAA themselves.
CAA is an LA-based talent firm that supports talents and brands including actors, writers, producers, musicians, comedians, authors, athletes, and more. They also have a reputation for signing high-profile Democrats from former Presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama to former West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin and former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke.
Harris is now in the slate of executive branch alumni to sign in with CAA, which also represents former first lady Michelle Obama among the long list.
“CAA will work closely with Harris in her post-White House initiatives, creating strategic opportunities that expand her platform in support of the issues she has championed throughout her decades-long career in public service,” CAA wrote on Instagram.
In January, Harris’ term in the Biden administration concluded when her election opponent, now President Donald Trump, was sworn back into office.
Since her presidential run ended in November 2024, Harris has mostly avoided the spotlight. However, while attending the Broadway production of A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical, Harris took some time to make a speech to the cast and crew, according to Black Enterprise.
“Where there’s a vacancy, let’s fill it. Let us know that the reality is that the progress of our nation has been about the expansion of rights, not the restriction of rights,” Harris said. “We’re seeing a U-turn right now. For those rights to be maintained, which means we have to be vigilant. It’s just the nature of it.”
Among this major deal with CAA, Harris was honored with the Chairman’s Award at the NAACP Image Awards, according to Variety. The award celebrates people who “excel in public service and leverage their unique platforms to ignite and drive meaningful change.” Marking her first upcoming TV appearance since leaving the White House, Harris will accept the honor during the 56th Image Awards in late February.
In recent news, Harris is scheduled to headline a fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) on May 6 in New York, according to the New York Times. The event invitation is billed as a discussion between Harris and Ken Martin, the chairman of the DNC.
With that coming up, Harris has been weighing her next moves to get back into running in politics. This could include returning to running campaigns, whether as a presidential candidate in 2028 or as a candidate for governor in her home state of California in 2026.
