We all can’t look like Beyonce, but we can at least have hair as healthy as hers. Queen Bey is famous for several reasons–she’s an accomplished award-winning singer-songwriter, incredible performer, actress, and philanthropist.
The 41-year-old Cowboy Carter songstress reminded the world on Monday (April 22) that she’s excellent in every aspect of her life, not only as an entertainer. Earlier this morning, Mrs. Knowles-Carter revealed in an Instagram post how she pampered her signature honey-blonde tresses, giving the public a step-by-step “wash day” alongside promoting her new hair care line Cécred, launched in February.
“Now that Cécred is known for the quality and what it does for your hair, I think it’s about time I showed y’all what it does for my hair,” Beyonce said in a voiceover as her hairstylist was washing her at the beginning of the clip.
Beyonce gave an up-close-and-personal view as she journeyed from her curly-hair-don’t-care form to her bouncy voluminous blowout. She made it a point to prove that she was not wearing a wig or extensions, often parting her hair to expose various parts of her scalp throughout the entire social media flick.
At each stage her hair was in—wet and curly, blowdried out, flat-ironed and curled—she sectioned it to confirm that it was all sprouted from her head. Anyone who believed that the Single Ladies singer relied on faux hair for her waist-length mane appeared to be very wrong, and the Texas native made sure they ate that assumption.
“The stigma and misconception is that people who wear wigs don’t have long and healthy hair,” the Cadillac Records star said in the video. “That’s some bullsh**t.”
For the last twenty-plus years, people have seemed preoccupied with the businesswoman’s hair in addition to her music, booty, and beauty. Beyonce appeared to use today’s snippet not only to praise her latest pride-and-joy brand, Cécred, but also to shut down critics constantly questioning her authenticity.
“Being disruptive and challenging everything people feel should be the process has always been exciting to me. My hair and music seemed to do that a lot over the years…,” she wrote in her post’s caption.
The blonde bombshell continued: “Maintaining 25 years of blonde on natural hair through all the experimenting I do has played a huge part in developing @cecred’s products. It’s the hardest to keep color-treated hair healthy and strong, but @cecred is here. All quality, with NO shortcuts. Congratulations to the entire CÉCRED team for contributing to developing award-winning products.”
On social media, fans have lauded the Millennial icon for finally putting an end to “wig rumors.”
In an X thread, fka Twitter, one fan wrote, “BEYONCÉ JUST ENDED THE WIG ALLEGATIONS GET UP. ITS ALL NATURAWLL.”
Another added: “Beyonce’s a**, hair and tits are real. I’m so sorry if that affects you negatively. Find it in your heart to cope.”
Someone else spotlighted: “Not me waking up this morning to Beyonce on my timeline shutting up all the naysayers who said she couldn’t sell a hair care line because we never seen her hair when it’s been in plain sight this whole time lol… I got one question are y’all satisfied now?”
Those who were skeptical about purchasing Cécred, because they were unsure of its effectiveness, will most likely change their minds after watching Beyonce’s new hair care clip.
